<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve time granularity and to secure real time property by reducing the overhead of software processing of the switching processing of a thread, while minimizing a hardware scale. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A multi-thread processor device is configured to perform time sharing multi-thread processing, and includes: at least two switchable register sets switchable between an operation system register set and a standby system register set; a register set switching means for switching the register set between the operation system register set and the standby system register set while being interlocked with the switching of a slot; and a context saving/restoration means for performing the saving/registration processing of context to the standby system register set after switching by the register set switching means.
