<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing resin composition containing aminoacetic acid chelating agent, which not only has excellent urinary resistance, but also may have excellent light resistance, causes little coloration and has deodorization ability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The water-absorbing resin composition comprises a water-absorbing resin and an aminoacetic acid chelating agent, wherein the content of the aminoacetic acid chelating agent is 10 ppm or more relative to the water-absorbing resin, and the content of nitrilotriacetic acid and its salt in the composition is 1 ppm or less relative to the composition.
