<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold box having a lid locking mechanism also on a side part and having a portable handle in a neatly manner. <P>SOLUTION: A turnable handle 30 is attached between predetermined opposing sidewalls of a container body 10 around the pivot 30J in the opposing direction of the sidewalls S1 and S2. A locking mechanism 20K1 is provided between a sidewall S3 out of the other opposing sidewalls and a lid 20, and a locking mechanism having a lock member 70 is provided between the sidewall S2 and the lid. The lock member is pivotably attached to the container body via a pivot 80, and provided with holding mechanisms 60A and 90 capable of holding the lock member in a releasable manner at the unlocking position where the lock member is mostly separated from the locking position of the lid.
