PURPOSE: A variable damper is provided to change the air volume to be discharged depending on the installed position of a damper by mechanically controlling the open level of a door plate by a door controller of a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION: A variable damper comprises a main body(10), a door supporting plate(20), a door plate(30), and a door controller(40). The main body is inserted into the end of an air supply duct and comprises a connecting part(12). The door supporting plate is installed in the main body and comprises an opening of a given size. The door plate is connected and rotated to the hinge shaft formed on the discharge side of the door supporting plate to open/close the opening. The door controller is connected and fixed to the connecting piece. A stopper(42) is formed on the bottom surface of the door controller to limit the open angle of the door plate. The stopper makes variable contact with the door plate through the connecting piece.
