<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium capable of manufacturing at low costs and less load on the environment when machining or disposing, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The surface protective layer 10 of this optical recording medium has hydrocarbon groups 11, in which some or all of hydrogen atoms are replaced by either or both of fluorine atoms and carbon fluoride groups 14, on the light incidence surface of the surface protective layer 12 made of a transparent resin. The optical recording medium is manufactured by applying a low voltage plasma treatment to the light incidence surface of the protective layer 12 at least having hydrocarbon groups in the gas atmosphere of the compound containing carbon fluoride groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
