METHOD FOR CONTROLLING USER INTERFACE AND MOBILE DEVICE EMPLOYING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for controlling a user interface and a mobile terminal using the same are provided to touch a shortcut number map without memorizing a shortcut number that a receiver sets, thereby enabling a user to easily make a call. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(11) displays a number pad. A storage unit(12) stores receiver information and shortcut information of a receiver. A user input unit(13) receives the first input from the user. A controller(14) converts the number pad into a shortcut number map corresponding to the first input. The shortcut number map maps the receiver information on a number button of the number pad corresponding to the shortcut number. The receiver information is one of a name, a nickname, a picture or an emoticon of the receiver.
