<p>A pressure reducing valve configured in such a manner that a valve element is slidably fitted in a valve housing with an annular seal member disposed between the valve element and the valve housing, a backpressure chamber is formed within the valve housing with an end of the valve element, said end being located on the side opposite a valve seat, exposed to the backpressure chamber, fluid pressure on the downstream of the valve seat is introduced into the backpressure chamber, and a pressure responsive member operating according to the pressure of fluid on the downstream side of the valve seat is connected to the valve element. A guide hole (31) having a smaller diameter than the diameter of sealing of the valve element (34) effected by a seal member (35) is provided in the valve housing in such a manner that a guide section (34c), which is a coaxial part of the valve element (34), is slidably fitted in the guide hole (31). The configuration enables, even if the seat diameter is large, a reduction in the length of a sliding section of the valve element to thereby enable a reduction in the size of the pressure reducing valve.</p> |
