COLOR DETECTION METHOD AND SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method and a device for recognizing a color are provided to recognize a unique color from a photographed object image even though a specific object is photographed under various illumination conditions, thereby increasing recognizing performance. CONSTITUTION: R, G, and B are obtained from an image(202). Normalization transformation by geometric mean about the obtained R, G, and B is performed(204). Log transformation is performed about the normalization transformation value. Inner product transformation about the log transformation value is performed using an orthogonal vector. The inner product transformation value is compared with preset reference data to recognize a color(206).
