<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator of a rotating electrical machine capable of reducing a torque ripple of the machine without deteriorating characteristics of the machine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotating electrical machine includes the stator and a rotator facing the stator. The stator has a plurality of magnetic pole teeth circumferentially arranged on a yoke at a predetermined interval with a magnetic pole formed on an end of each magnetic pole tooth, wherein multiple kinds of platy magnetic members 12 with different width dimensions in a circumferential direction at magnetic pole portions 12d and 12e are so laminated that width directions of openings formed between the respective adjoining magnetic pole portions 12d and 12e have a predetermined value or more at any axial position, and the magnetic pole portions 12d and 12e are formed of platy magnetic members, each having a circumferential symmetry with respect to a center plane of the each magnetic pole tooth.
