SUPERCONDUCTING CABLE, CONNECTION STRUCTURE USING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING THE STRUCTURE

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting cable capable of adjusting a length thereof without destroying vacuum across the entire length of a heat insulation tube even when an end part of the heat insulation tube is cut. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A superconducting cable 101 includes a cable core 1 and a heat insulation tube 2 for containing the cable core 1. The heat insulation tube 2 incudes: a base portion 2b of a double-tube structure having an inner tube 21b and an outer tube 22b; and a length adjustment portion 2a extended to an end portion of the base portion 2b and comprising a double tube of an extended inner tube 21a and an extended outer tube 22a. The base portion 2b and the length adjustment portion 2a are separated by a partition wall 23, and a space formed between the inner tube 21b and the outer tube 22b is hermetically sealed.
