<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter that generates optical OFDM signals, which controls optical coherence that occurs when subcarrier is separated from optical OFDM signals. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmitter has an optical modulation means for modulating input light for every frequency, a polarized wave orthogonalizing means for orthogonalizing optical signal polarized waves which are adjacent in a frequency space, a phase synchronization means for synchronizing optical phase between optical signals, and an optical frequency multiplexing means for optical frequency multiplexing phase synchronized optical signals. The optical transmitter orthogonalizes the polarized state between adjacent subcarriers, and controls optical coherence that occurs in subcarrier separation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
