PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal workpiece which has a predetermined metal surface and a bent surface that has been bent with a predetermined angle from the predetermined metal surface, and shows an enhanced anti-rust effect at an edge part formed by a metal surface that has been shaving-worked and a bent surface, and to provide a method for working the metal workpiece. SOLUTION: This metal workpiece has: the worked surface 131 of which the metal surface has been shaved off; the bent surface 132 which has been bent with the predetermined angle from the worked surface 131; and a transparent electrodeposition coating film 1303 formed on the worked surface 131 including the edge part 133 formed by the worked surface 131 and the bent surface 132.
