PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing excessive rotation of drum winding wire is provided to prevent the elevator body wound by the wire from rising again and to find the lowest position of the elevator body automatically. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing excessive rotation of drum winding wire includes: a drum(200) which winds and releases a wire(100) when the drum is rotated in one direction; an operating shut-off switch(300) which stops the rotation of drum by pressurizing the wire when the wire is rolled with drum; and a counter which stops the rotation of drum by sensing the number of rotation of the rotating drum to release the wire fully.
