PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a germanium particulate dispersion having adequate dispersibility, dispersion stability, high-concentration dispersibility and the like, which can disperse the germanium particulates with a small average particle diameter; a germanium particulate dispersion produced by using the production method; and a germanium particulate dispersion liquid obtained by replacing the solvent of the germanium particulate dispersion. SOLUTION: The method for producing the germanium particulate includes bringing a gas of germanium into contact with a liquid with a low vapor pressure to produce the dispersion in which the germanium particulates are dispersed in the liquid with the low vapor pressure. The liquid with the low vapor pressure includes carboxylic anhydrides or carboxylic imides dissolved therein. The germanium particulate dispersion liquid is produced by replacing the liquid with the low vapor pressure in the germanium particulate dispersion with another dispersion medium.
