<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of obtaining highly transparent ice while shortening an ice making time to attain power saving. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises a flow-down type ice making device 6 having a water supply tank 7 for storing water, and an ice making plate 9 cooled to an ice point or lower, and allowing water supplied from the water supply tank 7, to flow down onto the ice making plate 9 to grow ice. The water supply tank 7 and the ice making plate 9 are arranged in a refrigerating chamber 2, and an ice storage container 17 is arranged in a freezing chamber 4 below the refrigerating chamber 2.
