PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet for obtaining a print having a good ink absorbability, a high gloss, good water resistance, and good image preservability by heat treating after recording. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet comprises a composite porous layer containing at least inorganic fine particles and thermoplastic fine particles on a support. In this sheet, a particle size of the thermoplastic fine particles is larger than a mean pore diameter of the porous layer. A total mass of the thermoplastic fine particles contained in the porous layer is smaller than that of the inorganic fine particles. A Tg of the thermoplastic fine particles is 40 deg.C or higher. |
