PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel consumption of an electric special vehicle while reducing carbon dioxide by adequately charging a battery device. SOLUTION: During stopping a concrete mixer truck (the electric special vehicle), the electric power of a generator driven by a travelling engine in an idling condition is stored in the battery device. During accelerating the vehicle, less electric power is generated by the generator than during stopping the vehicle, and the motive power of the travelling engine is utilized for driving the vehicle. During the constant-speed travel of the vehicle, the electric power generated by the generator is stored in the battery device. During the decelerating travel of the vehicle, further greater electric power is generated by the generator than during the constant-speed travel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
