<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device wherein the operating speed of a seat movable part is variable without the need for a special mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A motor A18 and a motor B19 are arranged in parallel to each other and connected to a gear unit 70. The motor A18 and the motor B19 are controlled to be driven to drive a reclining gear 60 to adjust the inclination angle of a seatback 44 of a vehicular seat 42. The gear unit 70 is composed of a gear 62 provided at the rotating shaft of the motor A18, and a gear 64 provided at the rotating shaft of the motor B19 larger than the gear 62. The gears 62, 64 are engaged with each other to connect the motors to each other. The rotating shaft of the motor A18 is connected to the reclining gear 60. When an operating instruction is given to adjust the inclination angle of the seatback 44, the motor A18 is driven, and when a risk is detected, both the motor A18 and the motor B19 are driven.
