<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device for a discharge lamp, a projector, and a control method of the lighting device for a discharge lamp which can set a drive condition of the discharge lamp more adequately. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device for a discharge lamp includes discharge lamp drive parts 20, 30 for supplying an AC drive current to the discharge lamp 90 and driving the discharge lamp 90, a current detection part 63 for detecting the AC drive current I supplied to the discharge lamp 90, and a control part 40 for controlling the discharge lamp drive part. The control part 40 controls the discharge lamp drive parts 20, 30 after a given time passes from a start of lighting drive operation of the discharge lamp 90 based on behavior of the AC drive current I detected by the current detection part 63 in the given time from the start of lighting drive operation of the discharge lamp 90. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
