PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a capacity of variable memory necessary for receiving processing of communication. SOLUTION: In a data transmission method in the network apparatus for transmitting variable packet data to a network by physical transmission processing, the following processing is performed: first processing for maintaining in a memory a checked offset value transmitted to a communication line by the fixed block size; second processing for returning data of 1 block size unit to be stored in the packet data at a position of the checked offset value; third processing for repeating the first and second processing just for the number of times corresponding to the number of times of the block size unit needed in the packet; and fourth processing for transmitting the packet data during the third processing.
