The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for image encoding/decoding. The apparatus for image encoding according to the present invention comprises: a block dividing unit for dividing the current block into a plurality of sub-blocks; and an intra-prediction encoding unit for performing intra-prediction encoding by referring to the adjacent pixel information for each sub-block which is encoded and decoded, on the basis of the intra-prediction mode identical to the intra-prediction mode of the current block, and generating a bit stream for the current block. The present invention improves the accuracy of the prediction of the current block to be encoded or decoded in image encoding or decoding, and thus provides a reproduced image with satisfactory quality.
