APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING SIGNALS IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for generating signals in a communication system are provided to minimize components required for the apparatus by generating signals with eleven frequencies with one phase locked loop. CONSTITUTION: A reference oscillator(100) generates the reference signal of a first frequency. A phase locked loop(200) generates in-phase(I) signal and quadrature phase(Q) signal of a second frequency which is higher than the first frequency using the reference signal. A frequency divider(300) divides the second frequency in order to generates different I and Q signals with third, fourth, fifth and sixth frequency. A frequency generator(400) generates a plurality of I and Q signals of a final frequency using the different I and Q signals. The frequency generator selects one I and Q signal based on control signal.
