A method for determination of premedication efficiency in veterinary anaesthesiology provides for assessment of animal systemic condition and its response on external irritants. Upon administration of the premedication mixture the duration of premedication stages is determined additionally according to the table 1, changes in cardiac rate, mean arterial pressure, breathing rate, rectal temperature and reflex capacity are assessed. In accordance with the results by table 2 first, second and third degree of sedative-and-tranquilizing action of premedication is determined. Thereafter according to the results of integral assessment of premedication stages duration and degree of sedative-and-tranquilizing action the conclusion is drawn on premedication mixture efficiency, and additional measures on enhancing animal premedication efficiency are taken. |
