METHOD FOR DRIVING INFORMATION DISPLAY PANEL

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving an information display panel for extending service life of a battery and preventing a voltage drop in a power supply voltage when the panel is driven by the battery with a current peak value reduced for erasing an image using alternating voltages. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for driving the information display panel includes: supplying at least two kinds of display media constituted as particle groups containing chargeable particles between two substrates at least one of which is transparent and facing each other; applying a voltage between a pair of pixel electrodes facing each other formed by disposing conductive films facing each other on each of the substrates; driving the display media; and displaying an information image. In a series of alternating voltage pulse groups to be applied when erasing the information image displayed on the information display panel, an OFF time is provided for keeping an application voltage in the middle of changing polarities of the respective pulse voltages at 0 V.
