PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for displaying broadcasting channel thereof are provided to configure a various broadcasting channel lists based on a set representative broadcasting region by setting the representative broadcasting region according to the position of a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(110) scans at least one channel which comprises at least one broadcasting channel, and a controller(180) determines the representative broadcasting region among plural broadcasting regions by using the obtained scan result information. A display unit(151) discriminatively displays the identification information of the broadcasting channel designated at the representative region.
