PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having a rationalizing structure of a damper mechanism. SOLUTION: This air conditioner includes an air filter 2, a suction nozzle 3 movably disposed, and sucking dust attached to the air filter 2, a dust discharging/ventilating device 6 incorporating a fan (not shown in drawing) and communicated with the suction nozzle 3, a hose 8 communicating an exhaust side of the dust discharging/ventilating device 6 and the open air, a ventilating hole 11 formed on the dust discharging/ventilating device 6, and a door 13 for opening and closing the ventilating hole 11, and the door 13 is opened by a projection 9 disposed on the suction nozzle 3. In a state that the door 13 is closed, the dust sucked from the air filter 2 by the suction nozzle 3 can be discharged outdoors through the hose 8, and when the door 13 is opened, a large amount of air is sucked from the ventilating hole 11, the dust remaining in the dust discharging/ventilating device 6 can be discharged outdoors through the hole 8 in accompany with ventilation, and further a structure can be rationalized as a stepping motor and the like for operating the door 13 becomes unnecessary.
