PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a particle arrangement object having a high-quality colloid crystal with suppressed arrangement turbulence in a short time. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the particle arrangement body is characterized by forming the colloid crystal for exhibiting a structure color by arranging a mono-dispersed particle using a water-based medium containing a monomer, and curing the monomer. In the manufacturing method, at least one water molecule per one molecule of the monomer is preferably involved in a polymer formed by curing the monomer accompanying with curing of the monomer.
