PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nesting method and a nesting apparatus which enlarges the distances among a plurality of parts, arranged on a work using a nesting process and rearranges them. SOLUTION: The nesting method includes the steps of: arranging a plurality of required parts A, B, C on a cutting out area 45 of a sheet of work W, which is displayed on a displaying means 13 of the nesting apparatus 1; obtaining dimensional differencesΔX,ΔY between the dimensions of a part arranging area 47, where the plurality of parts A, B, C are arranged in X direction and Y direction and dimensions of the cutting out area 45 in X direction and Y direction; and if the dimensional differencesΔX,ΔY in X direction and Y direction are not smaller than the predetermined dimensions in X direction and Y direction, the spaces of at least one of X direction and Y direction among the parts A, B, C are enlarged based on the dimensional differencesΔX,ΔY and the arrangement positions of the parts A, B, C are changed.
