OUTER AIR BAG SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer air bag system which is market-ready and can protect an occupant by absorbing impact due to head-on collision of a vehicle.

SOLUTION: The outer air bag system for the vehicle has a bumper cover (10); a cushion (20) arranged at a side rear side of the bumper cover; and an inflator (60) for providing a gas pressure for deployment of the cushion, and the bumper cover (10) is constituted such that a side part is turned to a front side making a central part of the vehicle as a center by deployment force of the cushion (20). The cushion (20) can be constituted so as to be largely inflated at a side than a central part side of the vehicle, and the cushion (20) and the inflator (60) can be installed on a back beam (50) arranged behind the bumper cover (10).
