<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit capable of achieving improvement of workability in lens alignment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A first lens 1 is held by a lens holding part 51 of a lens barrel 5, and a second lens 2 is held by a lens holding member 8. The lens unit is assembled by inserting a spacer 7 in the lens barrel 5 which holds the first lens 1, and inserting and fitting the lens holding member 8 which holds the second lens 2 therein. At such a time, a portion (flange part 82) of the lens holding member 8 is constituted to protrude to the outside of the lens barrel 5. By grasping a protrusion portion of the lens holding member 8 from the lens barrel 5 by a tool or the like and moving the lens holding member, alignment operation is performed.
