PURPOSE: An overflow valve equipped with a valve port with various valve pot cross sections is provided to satisfy various flow characteristics by diversifying the flow characteristic of the overflow valve. CONSTITUTION: An overflow valve equipped with a valve port with various valve pot cross sections comprises an oil path communicating a outlet port and an inlet port, a guide hole formed in a valve guide(5), a groove formed in a valve body(2) opening and closes the inlet port. The groove formed in a valve body is a cutout groove formed as the form making someone trim to the inner side of the valve body. The guide holes are formed along the outer circumference of the valve guide in the spiral shape. A protrusion which is inserted into the guide hole and is carried according to the guide hole is formed in the valve body. The cutout groove is formed into polygon. The inlet port and outlet port are formed to be faced in a valve housing(1). The valve body is flexibly supported with the spring mounted on the valve housing. A stopper(4) restricting the backspace stroke of the valve body installs inside the valve housing.
