<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massage machine which carries out reclining of a backrest section and a seat section with one motor and neither impairs assembling property nor generates shocks or crashing sounds while reclining. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A reclining mechanism includes an electric actuator 70 and a link mechanism 4. One end of the electric actuator is pivoted with respect to a base frame 1 by a pivot shaft 71 and the other end is pivotally connected 72 to the backrest section. In order to prevent the pivot shaft 71 from moving and rattling during operation of the electric actuator within gaps K1 and K2 formed respectively by a shaft hole 72 on the electric actuator side and a shaft hole 73 on the base frame side, one end of the electric actuator is pressed by the distal ends of screws 75 so as to abut the pivot shaft 71 on one end side of the shaft hole 72.
