<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for sending bar codes of several commodities that a user wants to select by using a portable telephone terminal, display a commodity list, and thereby provide information on the commodities to the user from an electronic shop, in an electronic trading system. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic trading system has a function to obtain barcode character strings by means of an application of a portable telephone terminal with a camera, and store or delete data in the selected commodity database at a request from a user terminal, for each user.
