PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compactly assembled connector while preventing an erroneous fitting of both housings. SOLUTION: The connector includes a pair of male and female housings 10, 40 fittable to each other. Among these, the female side housing 10 has a block-shaped housing body 11, and the male side housing 40 has a hood part 42 having the inside shape corresponding to the outer face of the housing body 11. The corner parts on the diagonal line on an outer face of the housing body 11 are made to be chamfered parts 14, 15, having different shapes from each other. The chamfered parts 14, 15 have a gently inclined part 14 which is arranged at both ends of the upper face of the housing body 11 and inclined at a comparatively large angle against a height direction, and have a steeply inclined part 15 which is arranged at both ends of the lower face of the housing body 11 and inclined at a comparatively small angle against the height direction.
