PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent an electric accident when birds or nesting materials carried by birds come in contact with the point between a terminal constituting a line switch (LS) installed on a transmission steel tower and another metal member. SOLUTION: This structure includes two fixed insulators 10 and 20 erected on a stand 2 with a predetermined interval, fixed terminals 11 and 21 arranged on the top of each fixed insulator, respectively, a movable insulator 30 supported turnably on the stand at the intermediate position between both the fixed insulators, a turning mechanism 40 turning the movable insulator 30, and a movable terminal 31 whose intermediate part is fixed to the top of the movable insulator and whose both ends are connected/disconnected to/from both fixed terminals accompanying rotation of the movable insulator. An insulating bird injury preventive plate 50 is provided to a position above stand and the turning mechanism and below each terminal. The bird injury preventive plate is so constituted as to cover the stand and the turning mechanism while allowing the rotation of the movable insulator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
