PURPOSE: A power saving method of a water purifier and the water purifier using the same are provided to save energy and to drive the water purifier according to the usage patterns of a user. CONSTITUTION: A power saving method for a water purifier comprises a step for producing a plurality of driving patterns to drive or stop a compressor or a heater equipped in the water purifier(S100), and a step for driving the compressor or the heater according to a selected driving pattern when one driving pattern is selected(S200). A method for producing driving patterns includes a step for reading a plurality of the driving patterns saved in a controller(S110) and a step for displaying the driving patterns on a display part(S120).
