PURPOSE: A cutting insert is provided to smoothly flow cutting fluid and improve contact rate and frictional force with a tool holder. CONSTITUTION: A cutting insert(100) comprises an upper side(150), a lower side(160), multiple sides(110,120,130,140), and through-holes(180). The upper side is classified into an outline section(151) and a center protruded section(152). The outline section is placed to be contiguous to cutting edges(111-1,121-1,131-1,141-1). The center protruded section surrounds the through-hole and is located higher than the cutting edges. The outline section comprises downward and upward inclined planes. The downward and upward inclined planes are inclined upward and downward from the cutting edges to the center protruded section. The multiple grooves(190) are formed on the center protruded section of the upper side.
