CERAMIDE DISPERSION, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME

Disclosed is a ceramide dispersion which comprises (1) ceramide-containing particles which contain a ceramide component, are dispersed as an oily phase component in an aqueous phase, and have a volume average particle diameter of 1 to 100 nm inclusive, (2) a fatty acid component comprising either a fatty acid and/or a fatty acid salt, (3) a polyhydric alcohol which is contained in the ceramic dispersion in an amount 5 to 20 times larger than the amount of the ceramide component, and (4) a polysaccharide fatty acid ester.  The ceramide dispersion has a pH value of 6 to 8 inclusive.
