摘要 An inner shaft (3) mechanically communicates with an outer component (6) by means of hydraulic devices (8, 9 and 10); all the hydraulic devices share their thrust chambers (8) through connecting pipes (7), forming a closed hydraulic circuit; the common hydraulic flow of the hydraulic devices is precisely controlled, enabling the hydraulic flow to be both sealed and entirely emptied; when the hydraulic flow between the hydraulic devices is totally sealed, transmission performance is the highest possible, since the hydraulic devices are locked and cause the inner shaft and the outer component to rotate as if they formed a single rotating shaft; when the hydraulic flow between the hydraulic devices is gradually released, the inner shaft rotates more quickly than the outer component; part of the couple between the inner shaft and the outer component is absorbed by the released hydraulic fluid; thus, control of the hydraulic flow between the hydraulic devices precisely controls the performance of the transmission; when the hydraulic flow between the hydraulic devices is totally released, the performance of the transmission is the lowest possible, and no couple is transmitted between the inner shaft and the outer component.
