The method involves detecting a determined characteristic e.g. signing marking or irregularity of the road, of a road on which a motor vehicle moves, based on a process of an acquired image of an environment of the motor vehicle using a Hough transform and a correlation between detection of the signing marking and changing of position of the motor vehicle. A light beam emitted by a headlight of the motor vehicle is adjusted according to detection results of the determined characteristic of the road. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for adjusting a light beam emitted by a headlight of a motor vehicle (2) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for adjusting a light beam emitted by a headlight of a motor vehicle. |
