<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wax coating device capable of preventing fiber dust adhered to a solid wax coating face from being coated into a surface of wax and a coating sufficient amount of wax on a yarn uniformly to make the yarn pass therethrough quickly when piecing up the yarns. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The wax coating device includes a drive shaft for supporting, rotating, and driving the solid wax, a wax supporting body for receiving the solid wax coating face, and an energizing structure for pressing and energizing the solid wax against the wax supporting body. The wax coating device further includes a pair of yarn guides for guiding the yarn fed in the vertical direction to the solid wax coating face at a position out of the center of the rotation of the drive shaft.
