PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of executing a game performance which is more easily understood without confusing a player even while executing a performance using the same symbol for a special symbol and a normal symbol. SOLUTION: In the game machine, a normal symbol game is executed with the establishment of a normal symbol variation start condition by the passing of a game ball through a passing gate 54 as a trigger, a special symbol game is executed with the establishment of a special symbol variation start condition by the passing of a game ball through a start port 25 as a trigger, and the game result of the normal symbol game and the game result of the special symbol game are derived and displayed by the variation and stop of a common reel image 94 which can be identified by the player at a liquid crystal display device 32. When determining a variable display pattern for the performance, during the game of either one of the normal symbol game and the special symbol game, when a variation start condition for executing the other game is established, a performance display pattern based on the other game is determined according to the determined result of the other game and the time elapsed after the start of one game.
