<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt retractor capable of reliably reducing a load on a chest of an occupant by reliably disconnecting a spindle for winding a seat belt from an electric actuator when a force limiter mechanism is operated. <P>SOLUTION: An unlock ring 84 constituting a changing device 85 of a force limiter mechanism 16 is operated so as to change the energy absorbing force of a torsion bar to release the engagement of a second gear 58 of a power transmission mechanism 17, and to cut off power transmission between a spindle assembly 12 and a motor 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
