<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the securement of privacy and an improvement in security in a well-balanced manner depending on situations at different times. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A balcony 20 is equipped with a spandrel wall 22 serving as a screen wall making the degree of screening variable. A controller 40 stores a relationship between the usage state of prescribed equipment used by a user and the degree of the screening of the spandrel wall 22, and changes the degree of the screening of the spandrel wall 22 on the basis of the usage state of the equipment by using the relationship. In this case, the controller 40 detects the situations of establishment of a first condition requiring the securement of the user's privacy and a second condition requiring the improvement of the security of the building, as the usage stage of the equipment, and changes the degree of the screening of the spandrel wall 22 on the basis of the situations of the establishment.
