PURPOSE: A grid signal receiver capable of soft pointing, a wireless pointing system and a motion vector correcting method thereof are provided to soften movement of pointing by subdividing more a movement size of a unit gridline. CONSTITUTION: A direction detector(221) decides a moving direction of a grid pattern through a detection signal of a grid receiver(210). When movement of a line is detected, a line detector(222) outputs a pulse. A motion vector extractor(224) extracts a motion vector through moving direction values and the pulse. A pulse width demodulator(223) changes a timing pulse into a digital. Based on the motion vector and the counting values of the pulse width demodulator, a motion vector corrector(225) outputs a corrected motion vector.
