PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence material with high luminescence efficiency and long life, an organic electroluminescence device using the same, a display device using the same, and an illuminating device. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence device contains an electronic transportation material having a carbazole ring structure, as a partial structure, to the N-atom position of which one of rings of a hetero aromatic 5-membered ring which may have a hydrocarbon aromatic ring or a hetero aromatic ring as a condensed ring is singly bonded.
