PURPOSE: A method for an exchange key array of a remote controller and an apparatus thereof are provided to reduce a required time to adapt to a new remote controller by arranging function and display of a special key to function and display of a function change target key. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(11) selects a particular key and a function change target key. A controller(13) arranges the function and display of the particular key to function and display of the function change target key in responding to selection of the function change target key. The particular key is selected by keypad operation of a remote controller. A change key list including a plurality of candidate change keys is displayed.
