A lighting fitting has a plurality of reflector bodies each consisting of a metal foil surrounded by a transparent envelope of a synthetic material and having at least one profiled beading integral with the body and serving to connect this to a neighbouring part of the fitting. In the fitting shown, two low pressure mercury discharge tubes 14 are mounted in a trough 10 in which is supported a frame 39, 40, 41 supporting two pairs of reflector bodies 16, 17, 18, 19 each comprising a strip of metal foil 25 encased in an envelope of transparent synthetic material 26 having beadings 23, 2A at the edges. The beading 23 is of circular cross-section and the beading 24 has a corresponding circular groove so that the beadings of adjacent bodies can be interconnected. The bodies are also connected in pairs by transverse metal partitions 20, 21 having tongues which pass through slots in the bodies and are bent over, the whole assembly being mounted in the frame 39, 40, 41. The frame is supported in the trough 10 by means of projecting metal strips which rest on inturned lips on the ends of the trough. |
