<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set a shortest data path that has taken into consideration QoS/charge control on the side of a network without the need of paying attention as to which IP address should be used. <P>SOLUTION: A communication system including a home server that connects a terminal to a service network, an access gateway apparatus that connects the terminal to the home server, and a policy server that controls the access gateway apparatus, wherein the policy server transmits a request for link formation for associating the communication path of a first terminal and the communication path of a second terminal to the access gateway apparatus and when receiving the request for link formation, the access gateway apparatus sets a fifth communication path that connects a first communication path and a third communication path, records information about the fifth communication path in communication path management information, and transmits data transmitted via the first communication path from the first terminal to the second terminal via the fifth communication path and the third communication path based on the communication path management information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
