PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unintended contact of an elevatable member and another member disposed on a body unit in raising and lowering the member in an air conditioner comprising the member elevatable to the body unit. SOLUTION: This air conditioner includes a decorative panel 21 disposed at a lower part of the body unit 1, and the body unit 1 includes an air filter 40 and a brush unit 51 sweeping the air filter 40 to remove dust. The air conditioner further includes a dust box 57 in which the dust moved from the brush unit 51 is collected, and an elevating unit 35 for supporting the dust box 57 elevatably to the air filter 40 and the brush unit 51, The elevating unit 35 is elevatably controlled when it is detected that the brush unit 51 is not positioned at an upper part of the dust box.
